Dr. Nenad Paunovic
DVM
Dr. Nenad Paunovic is a highly experienced veterinarian dedicated to providing exceptional care for pets and their families. He graduated from the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine in Belgrade in 2000 and completed his internship in Berlin, Germany, where he gained valuable hands-on experience.
In 2005, Dr. Paunovic moved to Vancouver, Canada, where he successfully completed his certification exams. Since 2008, he has been practicing veterinary medicine in the Vancouver area, as well as in emergency hospitals across Saskatchewan and Regina. In 2011, he became the proud owner of Coquitlam Animal Hospital, where he has continually strived to elevate the standard of care for his patients.
Committed to providing the highest quality veterinary services, Dr. Paunovic expanded his vision by opening a state-of-the-art facility in September 2024. This modern space is designed to offer the best in medical care, technology, and comfort for pets and their owners. In addition to his veterinary practice, Dr. Paunovic and his wife, Jasminka, launched Coquitlam Dog Grooming in November 2024, further enhancing the services available to the community.
Dr. Paunovic is a devoted family man, sharing his life with his wife, Jasminka, and their three wonderful children. His passion for animal care, combined with his dedication to innovation in veterinary medicine, makes him a trusted professional for pet owners seeking compassionate and expert care.
Dr. Melika Sabeghi
DVM
Dr. Melika is a skilled and compassionate veterinarian dedicated to providing high-quality care for pets. She has a strong background in small animal medicine, surgery, and diagnostic imaging, with a commitment to staying up to date with the latest advancements in veterinary care.
In addition to her expertise in small animals, Dr. Melika has extensive experience working with horses, further broadening her knowledge of veterinary medicine. She has also completed various advanced courses in small animal medicine, enhancing her diagnostic and treatment skills to ensure the best possible care for her patients.
Known for her thorough approach and gentle bedside manner, Dr. Melika takes the time to educate pet owners and develop personalized treatment plans tailored to each pet’s needs. She looks forward to caring for your pets at Coquitlam Animal Hospital and making every visit a positive and supportive experience.
